Roberta Kay (Dippery) Ritchey, 78 of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Geisinger Hospital in Danville. She was the wife of the late Gary R. Ritchey, Sr. for 57 years before his passing in 2022. Born on November 4, 1946 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Sara (Logan) Dippery. In addition to her husband and parents, Roberta is preceded in death by brother-in-law, Art Nause. Roberta is survived by her sons, Gary D. Ritchey, Jr. and companion, Shawn Karstetter of Burnham and Ryan R. Ritchey and wife, Stacy of Glenside; granddaughter, Maggie; sister, Connie (Dippery) Nause; brother, Steve Dippery and wife, Rosemary; and beloved nephews, Tom, Nathan, and Jon. After graduating from Lewistown High School, Roberta went on to become a Registered Nurse at Polyclinic in Harrisburg. She worked as an RN until 1982, then attended the University of Pennsylvania and became a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. For over 45 years, she worked in the women's health field throughout the Lewistown area until retiring in 2020. Roberta was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. A member at St. John's Lutheran Church, she was a devoted Christian. She volunteered at Make-A-Wish Foundation and was a participant in The Fresh Air Fund. She was an avid knitter, starting and participating in local charity knitting groups. Roberta loved to read and was a fan of all things Disney. A visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. with Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Make-A-Wish America, 1702 E. Highland Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
