Roberta Naomi Grant Summerton, born September 28, 1954, in Bangor, Maine to Elwood and Barbara Grant, was called home to Jesus on June 25, 2023, in Queens, New York after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Roberta is preceded in death by her beloved father Elwood Grant, her beautiful cousin Nola Grant, her uncle Mackenzie Grant, her aunt Vena, grandparents Arvel & Eleanor Grant and Hildred & Howard Trundy.
Roberta is survived by her mother, Barbara Grant, her siblings: Terry & Greta Grant; Steve & Elaine Grant; Bruce & Diane Grant; Peggy & Dale Braley; Jody & Jim Martin all of Maine; her children: Christina Nichols and husband Phil of Hallsville, TX; Susie Coffman and husband Gary of New Boston, TX; her son Pierre Summerton of Bangor, ME; Eric Summerton and wife Nikkia of Maud, TX; her grandchildren: Phil Nichols Jr of Buffalo, NY; Zachery Nichols of Hallsville, TX; Jax and wife Ashley Nichols of Hallsville, TX; Gabrielle Wright of New Boston, TX; Phoenix Wright of New Boston, TX; Mirage Humphrey of Hallsville, TX; Jewel Olmstead and Dominic; her great-grandchildren: Melanie, Jake, Tinleigh Odin, and Penelope of Hallsville, TX, her nieces and nephews: Stacey Grant Hussey; Terry Aaron Grant; Naomi Crawford and husband Connor of N. Monmouth, ME; Christopher Grant, Matthew Grant, Joshua Grant, Gabrielle and husband Patrick Haley of Charlotte, NC, countless cousins: Kevin Grant and wife Angie of Passadumkeag, ME, Sally and husband Eric Nason of Glenburn, ME, a very special aunt, Charolette Doucette of Old Town, ME.
Roberta's life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Please join her family and friends as we gather to remember her life full of love and kindness at Plentiful Harvest Church - 500 N. Merrill Street - New Boston, Texas.
