Robert D. Lovato, 71, of Aztec, NM. passed away January, 26, 2026. He was born on May 25, 1957 in Chama, NM to Emillio Lobato and Selvia Moya.
Robert had finished high school before joining the Army. After he was finished serving his country he came back to New Mexico, where he started working locally in the oilfield. Soon after he started his family. Robert loved being out in nature and loved fishing. He was an avid dog lover. Robert will be remembered as a great and good spirited man. He will be truly missed by his friends and family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Selvia Moya and Emillio Lobato; brother Manuel Moya; sisters Mary Lobato and Sophie Lobato; grandparents Candileo Moya and Sophia Moya.
He is survived by his son Richard Lovato and David Lovato; brother Richard Lovato; grandchildren Heaven Lovato, Anela Lovato, Trinity Lovato, and Vaughn Lovato.
