Robin Crawford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowers Funeral Home - Houlton on Oct. 1, 2025.
Mattamiscontis Twp – Robin "Grog" Crawford Jr., 61, passed away unexpectedly at home while watching the Red Sox with his wife. We are still unsure if it was the Red Sox bullpen caused his passing because they haven't been great this September. Grog was born in Lincoln, the son of Robin A. and Lois (Lawrence) Crawford.
Grog grew up with a passion and drive that allowed him to get his CDL at 15 years old, we are told he was the youngest in the state to ever receive it.
He was lifelong truck driver, working for and alongside many companies, primarily H.C. Haynes of Winn, eventually taking over his father's business when he passed away. Dedicated to his business, you could always find him working and post work, you could always find him in his seat at Gilmor's.
Grog was always known to be funny, sometimes called the life of the party, but wasn't looking for the recognition. If you knew him and he would tell you a story a time or two and lets face it, you would enjoy the story because he was the best story teller like his Dad. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins, loved spending time with his family and treated his work family as his blood family, all but a few (you know who you are).
Grog will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Melanie (Bailey) Crawford; his daughter, Andrea Crawford; his sons, Robin III and his wife Rae Lynn Crawford and Kenneth and Lyndsay Crawford; granddaughters (aka the ice cream bandits), Adlyr, Aldyn, Paige and Paityn; mother, Lois; Sister, Ann; brother-in-law, Dan Larlee and special friends, Tammy MacEachern and Ryan Worster. He was predeceased by his father, Robin "Bob" Crawford; sister Laurie Mortensen and his beloved dog, Brutus.
Per Grog's wishes, there will be no services.
