Robin Rene' Smith Creel

Robin Rene' Smith Creel, age 62, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1978, she moved to Sumrall, Mississippi, where she would spend the rest of her life building a family and serving her community.

Robin dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse. She worked at Marion General Hospital, Rural Health Clinic, and Hattiesburg Clinic, where she was known for her compassion and commitment to her patients.

She attended Pima Elementary School in Arizona from kindergarten through eighth grade before continuing her education at Sumrall School after moving to Mississippi.

On August 8, 1981, she married the love of her life, Calvin Creel Jr. Together they built a loving family and shared over four decades of marriage. They were blessed with four children: Jacob, Kristiane, Laramie, and Monica.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Carl Smith, and her niece, Jill Hutchison Judd.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Calvin Creel Jr.; her children, Jacob Creel (Maria), Kristiane Ford (Adam), Laramie Creel (Rachel), and Monica Farrell (Miles). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Aleigha Creel, Eli Creel, Ethan Ford, Haley Ford, Ember Ford, Kimberly Farrell, Layla Farrell, and Gabby Creel.

Robin is also survived by her mother, Mavis Helen Goar Smith; her two sisters, Charla Hudson (Jack) and Karen Hutchison (Michael); and many nieces, nephews and family whom she loved dearly.

Robin will be remembered for her caring heart, her dedication to helping others, and the deep love she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and kindness that will live on in all who knew her.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on March 21, 2026, at Advance Cemetery in Sumrall MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Advance Cemetery Funds through Citizens Bank of Sumrall.
