Robin Kay Eich

Robin Kay Eich, 55, of Brookings, SD passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Memorial Services have been set for 7:30pm Friday, May 5, at Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings, SD. Memorial Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Rude's Funeral Home. Robin's family suggests memorials be directed to the Brookings Humane Society or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Robin Kay Brinkhous was born February 2, 1968 in Shakopee, MN, the daughter of Ervin Eugene and Darlene Marquerite (Ruchelshausen) Brinkhaus. Robin grew up in Brookings, SD and graduated from Brookings High School in 1986. She continued her education at South Dakota State University while working at Daktronics in Brookings.
Robin was united in marriage to John Eich on April 19, 1991 in Brookings, SD. They were blessed with one son, Sam.
Robin worked at Daktronics where she worked her way up in the company through hard work for 21 years, she then went to work at the 3M Company in Brookings for 10 years.
She loved listening to Elvis, a taste in music that she got from her mother and grandmother. Robin and John enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle. She loved all animals especially her own. She loved spending time family and others that she cared about. She took pictures of everything and organized them in her numerous photo albums that she has. Robin was a kind, generous person, with a great sense of humor, she so loved her family.
Robin was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Robin is survived by John Eich; her son, Sam (Casey) Eich; her mother, Darlene Kleine; her sisters Laura (Mark) DeVerse, Sue Dahl (Ron Headley) and Brenda (Ripper) Hatch; niece, Lily Hatch; nephew, Nick Headley; nephew Aaron Brinkhous; niece, Caitlin (Miguel) Castaneda; great nephews and great neices, Cristian, Yonathan, Jenavive, Giovanni Casteneda.
