Robin Kolar Obituary
Robin passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home.
Born in Fairview Park, Robin lived in Westlake before moving to Mentor 43 years ago.
Robin loved to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking with friends. Robin kept the magic of Christmas and Easter alive for the children of the community through Santa Claus and Easter Bunny letters.
She was the beloved wife of John G. Kolar; loving mother of Kristen (Eric) Spierings, Brian (Sarah) Schatz, Brittany (Derrick) Robinson, and Emily Kolar; cherished grandmother of Zoey, Lilliana, and Isabel Schatz; and sister of Robert Sampsell and Steven (Julie) Sampsell.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rosemary (nee Durnen) Sampsell; and siblings, Bruce Sampsell and Ruth (nee Sampsell) Kovacs.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor. Burial to follow the 10 a.m. Friday Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
