Robin Lee Vanore, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on April 5, 1938, to Marie and Ira Krouse, Robin grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings James Nolan, Janet Marie Barr, and Elmore "Clif" Clifton, and William (Bill).
Robin married Richard Vanore, and together they raised four sons-Richard (Ricky), Douglas, Mark, and Edward-in New Jersey. She was a mother who always kept the door open for her sons and their friends. Her home was full of noise, laughter, and a steady stream of people, which she handled with both grit and heart. Robin loved animals all her life, especially horses and dogs. Later in life, she became a regular dog sitter, staying active and connected with her community. She enjoyed music-particularly Tom Jones and Roy Orbison-and never missed a chance to dance when a good song came on. In recent years, she found a sense of belonging at The Riviera in Naples, Florida, where she helped organize social events and built strong friendships. Her energy and opinionated nature made her a memorable part of the community.
She spent many happy days at the beach, where she could relax and enjoy the sunshine. Though her final days were difficult, her life was full of persistence and connection.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at Fuller Funeral Home East 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida 34112, at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Humane Society-honoring Robin's lifelong love of animals.
