Robin “Rob” Dale Chambers, age 62, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on May 29, 2025, at his home in Salina. Rob was born on November 25, 1962, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to Donald and Gayle (Hodges) Chambers. A dedicated truck driver for most of his life, Rob was known for his strong work ethic and love for the open road. On March 11, 2000, he married the love of his life, Joyce, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and shared joy. Rob had a deep passion for the outdoors—he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cheering on the OU football team. More than anything, he cherished time spent at family gatherings, surrounded by the people he loved most.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Chambers of the home; children: Justin Merkey of Centerton, Arkansas; Skake Kingfisher of Salina, OK, and Spencer Kingfisher and wife Chali of Kenwood, OK; brothers: Larry Hawkins and wife Vanessa of Greenbrier, AR, and Ronnie Hawkins and wife Shaelene of Cedar Creek, TX; and his treasured grandchildren: Heaven Kingfisher, Lali Kingfisher, Stonehawk Kingfisher, Braiden Kingfisher, Calvert Kingfisher, Ira Merkey, Gracie Merkey, and Jase Merkey ; special friends, Hattie Truax and family of Indiana; He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gayle Chambers; brother, Steve Chambers; daughter, Shannon Sharp; and his beloved in-laws, Clarence and Marion Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Blue Springs Church in Salina, OK, with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating.
