ROBIN KAYE TILLERY
ROBIN KAYE TILLERY, 65, unexpectedly departed her earthly tabernacle on March 24,
2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Robin was
born in Virginia Beach on March 7, 1959, to the late George V. and Katherine L.
Johnson.
Robin was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and graduated from
Bayside High School and furthered her education at Norfolk State University, majoring
in Social Work. She worked for the City of Chesapeake Social Services for 23 years
retiring in 2021. Robin enjoyed shopping, decorating and entertaining.
Robin is predeceased by her parents, George V. and Katherine L. Johnson; brothers,
George V. Johnson, Jr., Kevin Johnson and Harvey Johnson.
Robin leaves to continue her legacy her husband, Richard M. Tillery; daughter, Tiffany
S. Tillery; grandchild, Lundi S. Burnell; niece, Zashae Rogers; nephew, Terrance
Saunders; sisters-in-law, Aspasias Johnson, Kathy Dillard, Deborah Bridgeman;
brother-in-law, Dwayne Tillery; longtime best friend, Melony Willie; and a host of other
relatives and friends.

Robin was a nice lady, somewhat quiet when I met her. She was sitting in her black Cadillac. I complimented her on her style and taste. Somebody pointed out to me that Robin was my best friend. How she changed my life, She was young and vibrant, a very loving person. I miss her very much.
