Roby Benedict died on May 20, 2025. He was a rare soul who could tell you off one minute and be your lifesaver the next. He loved his family, friends, dog, rock and roll (especially The Beatles and The Rolling Stones), The Dallas Cowboys, UT football, and wrestling. Roby lived his life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by: daughter, Linda Connor, wife, Renee Kee Benedict, parents Robert and Earlene Benedict, sisters Linda Keeling, Rita Hooker, and Sandra Miller, as well as grandparents and multiple aunts, uncles, friends and family.

He is survived by grandson, Triston Jackson of Denton, TX; granddaughter, Riley Rumsey, daughter, Amy Rumsey, and son-in-law Michael Rumsey, all of Farmersville, TX; sister, Stacy Benedict; nieces: Tracy Luber, Christi Loewen, Bekki Cortez, and Phyllis Conley; nephew: James Allen; along with many more family and friends.

We will be holding a memorial service in his honor in the months to come. Details will be posted once arrangements are made.
