The Peñas Family announce with great sorrow the passing of their beloved mother, Rochella Porter, who died peacefully in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 16, 2025, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Porter, and her youngest child, Jose Peñas III.
She is survived by her remaining six children: Marinette Peñas Collier, Teresita Peñas, Mae Bosco Godbee, Leonardo Penn, Maria "Cherry" Godoy, and Christy Peñas; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Services for Rochella will begin at 5:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. A dinner reception will follow immediately after the service at the funeral home.
