With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rocio R.G. Yanez, age 70, on July 2, 2025, at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Rocio was born on April 17, 1955, in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico, to Fernando and Catalina Rincón Gallardo. She pursued her education at the University of Guadalajara, earning a degree in engineering in communication. Her intelligence, warmth, and strength touched many lives. She married Jose V. Yanez, and together they raised two children.
Rocio was a dedicated daycare provider who found great joy in caring for children and maintaining lifelong bonds with them. She loved dancing, singing, traveling, playing bingo, and visiting the casino. However, her greatest passion in life was her family.
She is survived by: her son, Rodrigo (Rita) Yanez; daughter, Monica (Fernando) Cazares; seven grandchildren; siblings, Fernando Rincon Gallardo and Adriana Ellen; and many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jose V. Yanez; her parents, Fernando and Catalina Rincon Gallardo; brother, Emilio Rincon Gallardo; brother-in-law, Horacio V. Yanez; and sister-in-law, Elsa Yanez.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci, Arizona. After Mass, a burial will proceed at the Sheldon Cemetery, followed by a luncheon.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who called, visited, and offered support during this difficult time. Rocio will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the joyful spirit she brought to every life she touched. As she always said: "Gracias a Dios."
