Rocky Lane Gallagher

Funeral services for Mr. Rocky Lane Gallagher, of Wisner, will be 1:00PM Friday, January 2, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbert with Brother Lanny Head, Brother Bobby Ensminger, and Brother Byron Chappell officiating. Interment will follow at Kings Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the church.

Rocky was born May 8, 1954, in Winnsboro, LA and passed from this life on December 29, 2025, in Wisner, LA at the age of 71. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Harrisonburg and worked many years and retired from Haring's Pride Catfish as farm manager. He loved his Diet Coke, usually carrying a two-liter with him, and he was known as a jokester, always laughing and making others laugh. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in Boeuf River. More than anything, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. One of his favorite things to do with them was watching them play ball. Rocky was "one of a kind" and will truly be missed by his cherished family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie A. Gallagher and Nancy Cassels Gallagher; and two brothers, Charlie Edward Gallagher and Larry Gallagher.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McDaniel Gallagher of Wisner; his daughter, Lesley Hunt and husband, Chris of Gilbert; his son, Jeffery Gallagher and wife, Kasey of Wisner; his grandchildren, Garrett Hunt, Elijah Hunt, Easton Hunt, all of Gilbert, Caden Gallagher, Kason King, Logan King, Lilly King, Kaylee Roberts and husband, Tanner, all of Wisner; one great-granddaughter, Blaire Roberts of Wisner; his sisters, Mildred Minchew and husband, Boone of Baskin, Jeannie Gallagher of Winnsboro, Brendra Jacobs and husband, Barry, Barbara Parker and husband, Jimmy, all of Sikes; his brothers, Jimmy Dale Gallagher and wife, Brenda, of Fort Necessity, Glenn Gallagher and wife, Joan of Extension, Lamar Gallagher and wife, Linda, Richard Gallagher and wife, Terri, all of Fort Necessity; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Hunt, Caden Gallagher, Aaron Ferrington, Kason King, Logan King and Elijah Hunt. Honorary pallbearer will be Easton Hunt.
