Roddie Tull Obituary

Roddie (Rodney) W. Tull, age 58, of Whaleyville, MD, passed away on Friday October 31, 2025, at his home. Rodney was born on February 23, 1967, in Salisbury, MD and was the son of Wayne Tull and the late Wanda Lee (Lewis) Tull.
Rodney had a deep passion for nature and farming. He loved working the land and found peace in his evenings cutting hay or caring for the family's cows. Farming wasn't just his work; it was who he was. Rodney was a farmer through and through. He spent his days at Tull Farms, working side by side with his closest family; his father, brothers, son-in-law, and many others who shared his love for the land.
He was a devoted member of Bethel Community Church in Millsboro, Delaware, and an active member of the Delmarva Coon Hunters Association in Powellville, Maryland. In his younger years, Rodney enjoyed the thrill of mud bogs, truck and tractor pulls, and cruising on his motorcycle. Some of his favorite moments were spent taking his wife, Marsha, on long motorcycle rides and attending Bike Week together each year.
Later in life, Rodney found his greatest joy in being a grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, teaching each of them the ways of the farm. He took great pride in giving them tractor and Kubota rides around the fields and sharing his love of hunting. Each fall, he made sure they helped put out deer corn, practiced their shooting, and learned clay target skills. Sundays were often devoted to his grandkids, especially when they were out riding four-wheelers together. Nothing brought Rodney more happiness than time spent with his family; those moments always brought a true smile to his face.
In addition to his father, Rodney is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Marsha Tull. He is also survived by his two daughters, Rebecca Tull (Steven Bratten) of Pittsville, MD, and Kelsey Downs (Robbie) of Berlin, MD; and by his four beloved grandchildren, Bristol Rayne, Robert Wayne Downs, Wyatt Bratten, and Colt Bratten. Rodney is also survived by his brothers, Kevin Tull (Donna) and Keith Tull (Jackie); as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is further survived by his lifelong friend, Chris Scott, whose steadfast friendship and love made him family in every sense of the word.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee Tull and a brother Raymond Kevin Tull.
Family and friends may call at visitation on November 5, 2025, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, 19 S. Main Street, Selbyville, DE 19975, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on November 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm with an additional visitation starting at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Bethel Community Church, c/o Keith Tull, 11934 Sheppards Crossing Road, Whaleyville, MD 21872.
