Rodeshia C. Jones (47), of Schenectady, New York passed away on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, in the presence of love and family.

Rodeshia “Ro” was born on Friday, October 14th, 1977, in Elberton, Georgia. She dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. Ro was a healer; she cared for the community and children as if they were her own. A wise woman, Full time comedian, Loving. Proud soldier of this country. Loved her children more than anything in the world. Ro proudly served her country as a member of the United States Army from 1996-2003 and was Honorably Discharged.

Mom was a God-fearing independent beautiful woman who never gave up. From the beginning of my life with her, she has always been the biggest supporter. Devoted her life to her children, ensuring that they did not have to worry knowing that the values she has taught us will forever guide us on our journey throughout our lives. She instilled wisdom in everyone around her. Aspired to be a homeowner, business owner, and a veteran’s advocate. Accomplishing two of her three goals, she has showed us all how to be a caring soul in spite of one’s difficulties in life. No matter how she felt on the inside about herself, she always displayed true unconditional love and compassion for others. She had her own individual relationship with everyone in her life and good or bad, it made her a better person. She will be missed greatly by those who loved her dearly.

Predeceased by Daquain Jenkins, Jacqueline Jenkins, Harold Dumas, Charlene Dumas, Warren Dumas, Sonia Dumas.

Rodeshia is survived by her parents; Gary Jones & Vanessa Dumas, her children; Pachantee Gerido, Paul Gerido Jr., Achantee Carter, & Isis Jones, her siblings; Alicia Bryan, Keshia Jones, Pateshia Jones, Jermaine Jones, Alex Jones, Kashawn Munroe, Selena Jones, & Aaliyah Jones. Ro is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, Godmother, Godsisters and her nieces and nephews; Xavier, Isabella, Isupreme, Harmonie, Messiah, Arielle, Rainey, Dominick, Camden, Jachai, Gabrielle, Jaydon, Juliana, & Ashanti.

“Dear Heavenly Father, she was our rock, our comfort, and a beautiful gift from You. Always loving, always kind, and always giving—right until the very end. To us, she was a cherished mother; to You, she was Your beloved child. I knew her through the moments we shared, but You knew the depths of her soul. While waves of grief crash over us, leaving our hearts aching and empty, we find peace in knowing that You have welcomed her with open arms and called her safely home.”
