Rodger L. Godfrey

Rodger L. "Rick" Godfrey, age 77, of Seven Valleys, passed away at home on December 10, 2025. He was the loving husband of the late Gloria Jean (Holloway) Godfrey who passed away on May 19, 2012; together they shared 38 years of marriage.
Rick was born in Seven Valleys, PA on September 27, 1948 and was the son of the late James E. Godfrey, Jr. and Esther V. (Stough) Godfrey. He worked as a traffic manager for LG and Eagle Snacks for over 30 years. Rick also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mowing his grass.
Rick is survived by his children Karen Kunkle, Jeanie Falkenroth and husband Sam, and Rodger Godfrey and wife Linda; his stepchildren Charles Bales and wife Jeannine, Joyce Ruppert, and Vickie Fizer; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Arthur Godfrey, James Godfrey III, John Godfrey, Daniel Godfrey, Paul Godfrey, Shirley Brenneman, Kathy Yohe, and Charlotte Smith. Rick was preceded in death by his son-in-law Keith Kunkle; and his brother Samuel Godfrey.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Rick's life will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362. Following the service, he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
