Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and CrematoryRodney D. Elkins, 41, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 23, 2025 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on May 12, 1984 in Fremont, OH the son of John E. Elkins and Vonnie M. Heidelburg. He was a 2003 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Rodney enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, music and playing video games. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his children.
Rodney is survived by his children, JaNaja Liggins, Aviana Elkins, Taana Elkins, Rodney Elkins, Jr. and Soraya Elkins; father, John Elkins; mother, Vonnie Heidelburg; sisters, Alicia Heidelburg, Consulea Martin, Christina Martin, Wendy Jones and brother Alan Elkins.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on November 15, 2025 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the family.
