Rodney Allen McFadden, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 72 in Monett, Missouri. Born on April 28, 1953, in Carthage, Missouri, the son of the late Joe and DeVaughn (Kyte) McFadden. Rodney graduated from Carthage High School in 1971. His career as a plant engineer at International Dehydrated Foods in Monett was marked by a commitment to excellence and a knack for problem-solving, traits that he carried into his retirement in October 2015 after being with the company for 22 years.
Rodney's marriage to his beloved wife, Cheryl, was a beautiful partnership filled with adventure and mutual support. Rodney is survived by his children, Leia McFadden of Carthage, Scott McFadden of Carthage, Robbie Lee of St. Louis, Doug Lee (Samantha) of Springfield, and his two dog children his little chihuahuas, Millie and Mac. His role as a father was one of his greatest joys, and the values he instilled in his children remain a part of his enduring legacy. In addition to his immediate family, Rodney is survived by his cherished brothers-in-law, Rick Jester (Kathy), Ron Jester (Jennifer), and Mark Jester, his special friends Mark and Vicki Elliff as well as several nieces, nephews, a host of friends who will miss his kind presence and wise guidance.
A devout Christian, Rodney lived his faith through his actions, always extending a helping hand and a word of encouragement to those around him. He was a man of many interests, with a particular passion for woodworking and firearms. His skilled hands brought to life intricate wood creations that will serve as lasting reminders of his talent and attention to detail. Nothing showed this more than the beautiful lake home he built on Table Rock Lake for he and Cheryl. Above all, Rodney loved traveling and spending quality time with his wife, Cheryl. Together, they explored new places and created memories that will be treasured forever. The family would like to thank Lindsey Sagel for all the care and compassion she gave to Rodney.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Knell Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 1pm to service time at the Mortuary.
