Rodney Smith Obituary

Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Smith; sister, Kathy Lawson; and his parents, John and Bertha Smith.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge for 32 years and was awarded a lifetime membership. He also served in the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney (II) and Debbie Smith of Dalton, and Brian and Denise Smith of Dalton; brother-in-law, Ted Lawson of Whitwell, TN; and grandchildren, Mallory (Hunter) Floyd, Macy Smith, Lexie Smith, Kylee Smith, and Ryder Smith.
The funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Noel Caldwell officiating and Rod Adams, Bobby Barton, Junior Roberson, Proco Morales, Andy Lawson, and Cody Lawson serving as pallbearers, with Mark Payne serving as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
Burial will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
