Roger Earl Bacon, age 80 of Knoxville, PA passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1944 in Wellsboro, PA and was a son to the late Walter Sr. and Beatrice (Finch) Bacon. Roger was a 1963 Cowanesque Valley High School graduate and he worked for 42 years at Ingersoll-Rand before retiring. He shared 30 loving years building a life and family with his wife, Alice C. Howells. He was proud of his 12 years as Deerfield Township Supervisor before stepping down. Roger was a rather handy man: he enjoyed woodworking, restoring antique cars, making maple syrup with his son, and hunting. He also loved attending car shows and displaying his 1961 Corvette for several years in Carlisle, PA - where he won many competitions. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Alice C. Bacon of Knoxville, PA; son, Corrie (Kimberly) Bacon of Woodbridge, VA; step-daughters, Sally Howells of Corning, NY and Meg (David) Aiosa of Salisbury, MD; grandchildren, Gage Bacon, Ethan, Amelia and Harper Aiosa; and a nephew, Dwight Dougherty. He was preceded in death by both his parents and several siblings. In lieu of flowers please send memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by clicking here. Per Roger's wishes, private services are to be held. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Knoxville, PA. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
