Roger was born on March 14,1955, in Fargo, North Dakota, and passed on December 6,2024, in Vancouver, Washington.
Born to Caroline and Lyle Bullinger, Roger joined his sister, Kathleen. Shortly after Roger was born, the family moved to Seattle, Washington, where Paul and Neal were born. The family moved to Virginia when Lyle was transferred for a short stay. They moved back to Seattle, where Ross joined the family. In 1962, the family moved to Minot, North Dakota. Lyle worked for Boeing and was transferred there during the Cuban Missile Crisis. They returned to Seattle in 1964.
In 1968, the family moved to Lacey, Washington. Roger graduated from Timberline High School in 1973. He entered the Air Force and was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho. After three years, he received an honorable discharge. Roger returned and entered Portland Bible College. After leaving school, Roger got a job at Columbia Equipment, where he repaired and built machinery. Roger had many different jobs over the years, all of them working on one kind of machinery or another.
Roger loved to fix and tinker on anything and everything. He had tools from one end of the house to the other. He loved reading and had quite a collection of movies. Roger built a "desk size" boat out of scrap pieces of wood. Roger was never without a cat or two.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Caroline and Lyle, in 2024, his brother, Neal, in 2023, and his nephew, Brian, in 1988.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Clay), brothers Paul (Patty) and Ross (Teresa), many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Roger had a long friendship with Mark Hanna and Jerry Rasmussen.
