Roger Dale Byrd (Smith)
Roger Dale Byrd (Smith), age 74, of Easley passed away on June 17, 2025.
He was born on December 14, 1950 to J.W. Doyle and Mary Jo Byrd. He went to school to be a nuclear physicist and worked at the Oconee Nuclear Station until he retired. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and tending to his garden. Roger was a caring, selfless person who could put a smile on anyone's face. Most of all, he loved his family and doing everything he could to make sure they were taken care of.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Judy Smith; his son, Jason Smith (Deanna); his granddaughters, Alison Nicole Alexander (John), and Chelsey Marie Taylor (Dustin); and his great-grandchildren, Leah and Rhett Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 11:00-11:45AM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley, SC. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in the Robinson Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Dream Center at PO Box 203 Easley, SC 29641.
