Roger Loren Case, 88, of Indianola, passed away November 13, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born on April 23,1937, in Milford, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Doris (Bruns) Case. Roger graduated from Indianola High School in 1955, and also from Simpson College. He served in the Army.

On June 29, 1969, he was united in marriage to Irene Middleswart. He was an owner/manager of Case Home Furnishings in Indianola and was a Real Estate Broker. In high school, Roger worked at Lake Ahquabi where he developed a love of fishing and all things boating.

Roger was interested in home projects. He had vision and ability. He and Irene remodeled two homes. Being an avid reader, if he didn't know how to do something, he would read a book or ask his brother-in-law Jack.

Roger and Irene loved traveling, including many trips to Door County, Wisconsin where he enjoyed fishing for salmon.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, his beloved dog, Augie, sister-in-law, Phyllis (Bob) Geyer, brother-in-law, LaVerne (Pat) Middleswart, many nieces, and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Doris Case; and two sisters, Muriel Cedeno and Carolyn (Jack) Drake.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with a time of remembrance and sharing at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Indianola United Methodist Church or Kiya Koda Humane Society of Indianola.
