Roger W. Crapser, 84, of Delaplane, VA, formerly of Esopus, NY, passed away on Friday May 3rd, 2024, at home. He was born on August 13, 1939 in Hyde Park, NY, son of the late George F. and Margaret (Boardman) Crapser. He was married to the late Carol M. Crapser, they wed on June 20th, 1964 in Governeur, NY.
He served his country in the US Air Force for 4 years, followed by 12 years in the Army Reserves and National Guard. He was employed by IBM and retired on June 28th 1991. After retirement, Roger worked at Adirondack Trailways. He was an active member of the Town of Esopus United Methodist Church in Port Ewen, NY.
Roger is survived by his daughters, Cindy Tacti and her husband Anthony Tacti, Sr., their sons Anthony Tacti, Jr. and his wife Kate, and Michael Tacti and his wife Maggie, all of Kerhonkson, NY, Karen Barrett and her husband Larry and their children, Marie and John of Lake City, FL, and Dawn Ross and her husband Mark of Delaplane, VA, as well as 7 great grandchildren, Madison Tacti, Carter Tacti, Heaven Tacti, Anthony Tacti, III, Athena Tacti, Lainey Tacti, and Michael Tacti Jr. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother Steven Crapser.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where family and friends may visit on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will start at 11am with burial following in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org A tribute for Roger can be found at www.KeyserFuneralService.com, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.
