Roger M. (Myron) Feig, 77, of Galveston and Texas City, Texas joined his heavenly father February 19, 2023 with the love of his life, Anna Allebach by his side.
Roger, the first-born child of Myron (Mike) and Virginia Feig, was born in San Diego, California and was raised in the Portland, Oregon area. He fulfilled his life-long dream to live by the water when he moved into a stilt home in Galveston.
In 1992, Roger graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland, Ohio with a degree in Business Administration. He was quite proud of his fraternity, Kappa Sigma.
Roger worked for, and retired from, Conrail, formerly known as Consolidated Rail Corporation. As a district manager and avid golfer, Roger organized numerous golf tournaments for his company and clients.
Roger is preceded in death by parents.
He is survived in death by the love of his life, Anna Allebach; his favorite aunt, Carla Sanborn-Jones; sister, Sandi (Fred) Bauer; brother, Mark Feig; nieces Melissa Bauer Larson and Becky Bauer; sons, Jason (Erin) and Jeffrey (Erin) Feig and grandchildren Eden, Fiona, and Maddox; daughters Kelly (Daniel) Feig Marshall and Candice (Max) Feig Baird and granddaughters Amy, Lola, and Kate Baird.
Roger had a great sense of humor and loved playing bridge and poker with friends. He was constantly acquiring new information, especially in the medical field, which led to his participation in the UTMB Standardized Patient program. (He was always ready to provide a diagnosis and a bit of free advice to whomever was not feeling well.) Roger was also a frequent visitor to the Rosenberg Library as he was a voracious reader.
Roger was an active participant in Mardi Gras. He was a 13-year member of the "red suits" of the Krewe of Gambrinus. He loved attending the yearly Den parties.
Rog loved to cruise. He was proud of his Atlantic Ocean crossing from Spain to Florida. Hawaii was a favorite excursion as well as trips to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal.
Roger attended Moody United Methodist Church where he volunteered as an usher and greeter. A memorial service is planned for 4:30 pm at March 1,2023 at Moody Methodist. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Krewe of Gambrinus, P.O. Box 17196, Galveston, Texas 77552.
