Funeral Service for Roger Fuller will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home with Jason Talton officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Boaz, AL on Double Bridges Road. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service on Friday morning.
Mr. Fuller, age 80, of Gadsden, passed away September 11, 2025 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert James Fuller and Ida Mae Fuller, siblings Doris Bolding, Dwight Fuller, and Jerry Fuller.
Left to cherish Roger's memory are his daughter, Denah (Daniel) Wright, son, Micah Fuller, grandchildren, Braden Wright, Becca Fuller, and Alyssa Fuller, sister, Deborah "Debbie" (Jake) Talton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Roger was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Gadsden Jaycees. He was a 1963 graduate of Gadsden High School and worked for The Gadsden Times from 1962 for many years in sales as well as a short time for The Anniston Star. Following that, his primary work experience was with his family at Fuller Wrecker Service for several years and then did security work for various businesses in Gadsden for approximately 23 years before he retired.
Roger loved music so much, especially gospel and oldies (50's & 60's), was a huge fan of Alabama football and The Atlanta Braves, and his home was filled with lighthouses. He loved lighthouses because he would always say, "Jesus Is The Lighthouse".
Roger loved everyone he met and everyone he met loved him, but he loved The Lord most. His heart-felt prayer is that no one neglect or overlook their salvation. He wants us to all be together in Heaven someday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Special thanks to the MICU doctors, nurses and staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center as well as Roger's primary care doctor, Dr. Layla Wren."
