Nelson Junius Fuller, Jr., 78, of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025, after a long illness.
Born in Boston, MA, on November 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Nelson Junius Fuller, Sr. and Lucille Elouise Davis Fuller. Known affectionately as "Buster," he was a vivacious youth who shared a close and mischievous bond with his younger brother, Richard, aka Dickie. He was a member of the track and field team at Boston Trade School, graduating in 1965 with a specialization in welding.
After working for a year at the shipyard in Quincy, MA, Buster enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and his brother Dickie followed suit. Both served in the Vietnam War and were awarded a Purple Heart for their service. Buster had a diverse career, holding positions as a welder, an operating room technician, an insurance salesman, and working in sanitation and construction.
He brought great energy to family gatherings and was known for his sharp wit and love of a good joke. Many will remember his colorful style and substantial afro during the 70's and his knack for being fiscally savvy.
Buster is survived by his wife, Anna Fuller; his children: David (and wife Kristina), Pamela, Robin (and husband John), Brian, Kevin, Elise, Sandra (and husband Garrick), Tamika (and husband Daron), Shanelle, Chiara, Richard, Jennifer, Jessica, and Nelson. He also leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his elder sister, Sandra Monestime, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his younger brother, Richard "Dickie" Fuller (surviving wife, India Fuller).
While his family and friends will miss him dearly, they are comforted by Buster's Christian faith and the knowledge that he is with the Lord.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a attend a visitation period on Friday, October 10th, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St., Randolph. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
