Roger "Lil RJ" Guedry Jr.

Roger (RJ) "Lil' RJ" Joesph Guedry, Jr. entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, with angels by his side, November 4, 2024. At the age of 49. He was born in New Orleans, LA and a resident his entire life in New Sarpy, LA.
RJ was a man of little words (at times)! One of his favorite moto's that he always told me was "preparation is KEY!" He was a guardian over the ones he loved, he loved so many family and friends!
He loved outdoors, camping (for sure!) and he grew up on all ATVs. Everything was about his family and friends. Growing up, waking up at a house with family for sleep overs made him so happy. They would go outside and play YES!!! riding bikes, jumping ramps, and whatever him and his cousins/friends could find to jump over, skateboarding, his love for music, good old fashion campfire. He loved to fish at his family's camp in Waveland, MS.. with memories of his grandmother (MawMaw Guedry) using hot dogs and bread was one of his favorite things to do. He was a climber, with a fascination for climbing trees or whatever he could. His nephews could vouch for that as well as my mom (Michele R.). He enjoyed when my mom would take us and the boys (my nephews) camping every summer. There are so many things that need to be said about RJ a book would need to be published!
Beloved husband of Heather Legnon Guedry. Son of Roger Joseph Guedry Sr. and Sonya DeCorte.
Preceded in death by his beloved sister Bridgette Guedry White Rodriquez, beloved cousin Shane Roy: Grandparents, Roger A. Guedry Jr., Theresa Duplessis Guedry, Frank J. DeCorte Sr., Audrey DeCorte, Sandra DeCorte Sills (aunt)

Survived by Guedry side ~ Beverly Andrews (husband, Greg) and Maryann Conzonere (husband, Randy).
Survived by DeCorte side ~ Sylvia DeCorte Deroche, Frank J. DeCorte, Jr. (wife, Barbara) Robert J. DeCorte (wife, Liz), Kenny DeCorte
RJ was blessed to have many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends just too many to name! He loved each and everyone of y'all!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. for family and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for friends followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan, LA.
