Roger Louis Johnson

Roger Louis Johnson, 70, of Stamford passed away September 18, 2025 at his home in Stamford. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26 in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Wright.

Roger was born October 1, 1954 in Stamford, Texas to Louis Johnson and Florine (Mahaffey) Johnson. He was a lifetime resident of Stamford and graduated from Stamford High School in 1973. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Roger had many interests that he enjoyed including working in his yard and spending time with his family. He enjoyed listening to music The Beatles being one of his favorites, and supporting the Stamford Bulldogs. Christmas was one of the most enjoyable times of the year; he enjoyed decorating his house and loved being Santa Claus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Scott Johnson.

Roger never married but leaves many behind to cherish his memories; brother Michael Lance Johnson of Stamford; 2 sisters-in-law Norma Johnson of Haskell and Deanna Cagle and husband Gus of Stamford; several nieces and nephews Marci Johnson of Haskell; Matt Johnson and Amanda of Abilene, Chris Johnson and Patsy of Stamford, Becky Lowrance and Lyle of Midland; Tara Johnson of Abilene; many Great nieces and nephews Breanna Johnson and Freddy Lopez of Abilene, Alina Bredon of Glenrose, Emma Lowrance of Midland; Hailey Phebus of Abilene, Michael Johnson of Stamford, Ben Lowrance of Midland, Carlie Johnson of Abilene, Aydon Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO, Landon Johnson of Abilene, Hannah Johnson of Stamford, Grayson Ueda of Stamford, Jacoby Martinez of Abilene, Jackson Martinez of Abilene, Brenton Johnson of Abilene, Jalen Martinez of Abilene, Molly Lowrance of Midland, Ryker Johnson of Abilene and Raelynn Johnson of Stamford; special friends Buck Walton, Buddy Bolin, Bingo Bolin, Davey Bolin and Dave Letz .
