Roger Kenneth "Kenny" Kyte, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home.

Kenny was born in Greenville, Tennessee on January 26, 1949, to the late Roger Martin and Martha Francis (Welch) Kyte. He was a graduate of North High School. Kenny honorably served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran, serving from 1966 until 1972. Kenny drove a truck over the road for Teamsters Local 215 Union from 1974 to 1985, and later dedicated over three decades of service to the City of Evansville until his retirement in 2021. He had a lifelong love for MOPAR and earned two championships at Chandler Motor Speedway in the pure stockcar division. Kenny loved spending time at the family home in Morristown, TN. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Kenny is survived by his son, Kenny Kyte of Boonville, IN; sister, Kathy Kyte of Owensboro, KY; brother, Tony Kyte (Marsha) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Seth Kyte (Rachael) of Boonville, IN and Jacob Kyte (Ashlyn) of Boonville, IN; great-grandchildren, Elby, Hudson, Hollyn, and Neyland; many nieces and nephews; and longtime partner, Deborah Market and her children and grandchildren.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sue (Young) Kyte.

A celebration of Kenny's life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
