Roger D. LeRoy passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Patti LeRoy; their son, Daniel, and his wife, Ireliz; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. and Dorothy LeRoy, and his sister, Shirley Temples.
Born in Eufaula, Alabama, Roger made his home in Ocoee, Florida, where he built a life rooted in devotion to his family and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him. He married Patti on September 15, 1979, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and steadfast companionship. Roger spent his career at the Orlando Utilities Commission, working as a draftsman from March 5, 1975, until his retirement in October, 2011.
Roger was a man of generosity and purpose. He found joy in the simple things-working with his hands and spending time in the pool with his grandchildren. His love for his family was deep and unwavering, and his quiet acts of kindness left a lasting mark.
A memorial service to celebrate Roger's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Ocoee, Florida, with Pastor Kevin Simmonds officiating the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring Roger's life and the legacy he leaves behind.
