Roger Dale McDonald, 75 of Greenwood, Indiana, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2024, in Franklin, Indiana. He was born on January 4, 1949, in Portland, Tennessee, to his loving parents Haskel and Billie (Moye) McDonald.
Roger served his country with pride as a member of the Army. He attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he excelled in his career managing the operations of Santander Auto and UAC.
Outside of work, Roger found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for golfing and gardening, hobbies that brought him peace and fulfillment. His kind and generous nature touched the lives of all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time in Florida, especially West Palm Beach. You would find him cheering for the Indianapolis Colts. Roger’s favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his son Jon (Kandace) McDonald and daughter Melissa Livengood, his brothers Dan (Laura) McDonald and Jim (Mary) McDonald, as well as his cherished grandchildren Declan, Audrey, and Ethan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Service to honor and remember Roger's life will be held on May 2, 2024, at O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46227. The service will commence at 1:00 PM to celebrate the remarkable life of Roger Dale McDonald. The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 AM until service time.
