Fischer Funeral Home - DanvilleDanville – Roger D. McFadden, age 65, passed away at the Ohio State University Medical Center on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Roger was born in Mount Vernon on March 6, 1960. He was the son of Marcina E. (McDonald) and the late Robert A. McFadden. Roger loved working with his family in the timber cutting business. And he loved being in the woods whether it was following his dad to work from the time he was a little boy, or deer and turkey hunting. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida and Tennessee, watching Ohio State and Danville football, and hanging out with the 6 a.m. “Coffee Crew” at Poppy’s.
Roger is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 36 years, Kim (Parker) McFadden; mother, Marcina; brother, Jim (Donna) McFadden; sisters, Shirley (Ron) Horne, and Rose (Paul) Crawford; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill (Paula) Riley, Rickie Parker, and Cindy Moreno; very special friends, Rick and Julie; his best buddy "Buster"; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Don and Jerri Riley, and sister-in-law, Lori Powell.
An open house to celebrate Roger and what he meant to everyone will take place from 1-4:00 Sunday, October 19, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 201 W. Rambo St. Danville, OH 43014.
