Linda Lou (Westerhouse) Addair of Howard, Ohio, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on September 15, 2025 at the age of 75. Born on November 8, 1949, in North Redwood, Minnesota, Linda was the cherished daughter of Harold and Lucille Westerhouse. Her life was defined by her deep love for her family, her passion for nature, and her devotion to animals. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and her heart was full of love for those who were closest to her.

Linda was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Marty Addair on March 2, 1987, and together they shared many years of love and companionship. She was the proud mother of five children: Cristy (Brian) Roskwitalski of Danville, Brian (Amy) Ferenbaugh of Howard, Jennifer (Ben) Richards of Howard, Leslie (Matt) McNemar of Granville, and Amber (Kenny) Breckler of Danville. Linda’s children were her greatest joy, and she was always there with a listening ear, a word of advice, or simply a warm hug or kiss when needed.

Linda’s love and devotion extended to her grandchildren, whom she cherished and adored. The lights of her life were Cole, Austin, Eli, Ainsley, Evan, Reese, Owen, Landon, Sydney, Maddie, and Paisley. Her love for her grandchildren was and is boundless, and every moment spent with them will forever be treasured. Linda is also survived by her dear sister and forever friend JoAnn (Wayne) Richert of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia (Paul) Tanton of Webb, Alabama.

Linda had a deep connection with nature. She found her peace and joy in growing flowers and tending to her vegetable garden. Gardening was not just a hobby for Linda—it was a passion. She took immense pride in sharing the bounty of her garden with those she loved. Even in her last days, she urged her children to “go pick all those tomatoes before the frost comes”.

A most beloved tradition that Linda cherished was the family gathering at Christmas. For nearly 40 years, on Christmas Eve, she lovingly hosted her family for the holiday, making sure that everyone was together to celebrate her Lord and Savior. These gatherings were a time for love, laughter, living room leg wrestling, and the creation of memories that will be carried on for generations to come.

Linda’s love for animals, especially horses, was a defining aspect of her life. She found peace in their company, and her love for all creatures great and small shaped her deeply compassionate nature. It is a fitting tribute to her memory that those wishing to honor her life do so through a donation to an organization that was dear to her heart, the Knox County Humane Society, at knoxhumanesociety.org.

Linda’s down-to-earth spirit centered around the value and comforts of a simple life. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:30 Thursday morning, September 18, in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, 20177 Wooster Rd. Danville, 43014. Rev. Howard Clevenger will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the love and joy that Linda brought to all who knew her. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably-no formal attire required.
