We truly miss you Roger. The impact you had on my life is greater than words can explain. You opened up the world to me and ideas I could have never imagined. You were a spectacular professor and an amazing friend. You will always be missed. Lucky enough to join you on our study abroad 2018.

Only today didn´t learn of Roger´s passing. I am stunned. He was so full of life and energy and I could clearly see he was born to teach. He was an inspiring figure and when I served as Director of Study Abroad and Global Learning at Western Kentucky University, I could always count on him for support and for fresh new ideas for international programming. I also enjoyed the friendly jousting around EPL football: his Liverpool against my Burnley. I will miss that, but I will miss his commitment to creating global citizens even more. Rest in peace, my friend. "You´ll never walk alone."

I was a student of his on a study abroad trip to Georgia in 2019. He was a great man to be around. Really cared about everyone in the group, loved to work hard, and play hard. He will be deeply missed. I was supposed to take his class this upcoming semester, and I was really looking forward to his lectures. WKU's study abroad program will not be the same without him.

Roger was a great colleague and friend with a big heart and an electric smile.
He was always supportive of students in the School of Media, particularly Journalism Majors.
I learned a lot from him, and I will sorely miss him.
Go Liverpool!

Roger was an amazing teacher, I was lucky enough to have him for my international relations class at Western Kentucky as an undergrad (class of 2007). His wonderful joy of learning was apparent to all of us, and made us want to broaden our own horizons as we learned about the world. I found this page because I work at Direct Relief, one of the charities listed as a place to give. What an amazing, full circle connection life gives us sometimes. Deep gratitude to Roger as well as his family for their support of Direct Relief. Peace and comfort to each of you in this time.
