Roger Oppel Obituary

He loved playing golf and watching his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews play sports. Roger was an avid IU fan and a member of the Hancock Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Oppel and nephew, Ken Oppel.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Sue Wenning Oppel, his two sons of which he was so proud, Scott (Johnetta) and Darren (Tiffany), brothers, Keith and Ray (Martha) and sister-in-law, Bea Oppel, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and grand dog, Harley.
Funeral will be 11 am Monday, December 6, 2021 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, Indiana with burial in Hancock Chapel Cemetery, Depauw, Indiana.
Visitation 2 – 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hancock Chapel Cemetery Fund.
