PERKETT, Roger A. - of Fenton, formerly of Clio, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church – 212 Center St., in Otisville. A private burial will be held at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM, and at the church on Monday from 9:30AM until the time of Mass at 10:30AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crisp Point Historical Society, c/o Cameron Lovett, 1377 Highland St., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
Roger was born on April 10, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Ivan and Antoinette (Olive) Perkett. He graduated from Clio High School in 1966 and began his career at Lapeer State Home, later retiring from Caro State Home in 2009. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and enjoyed traveling, spending time at his cabin in Newberry, and working in the yard.
Surviving are: Brother, Wayne Perkett (Sheila Wymes); Sister, Evonne Ferguson-Hess (Matthew Hess); Nieces: Kristi Jackson, Lisa Ferguson, Melissa Behrendt, and Michelle Stepniak; Nephews: Wayne Perkett, Christopher Ferguson and Matthew Ferguson; Several great-nieces and great-nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; Sister, LaDonna Burzyck; Brothers in law: Edward Burzyck, and David Ferguson; Nephew, Brent Perkett.
