Roger Petersen

Roger Petersen rolled into life January 18, 1950. His parents, Lamar and Verda Petersen, welcomed him as their third child, with Marline and Jerry arriving before Roger. The family lived in Blackfoot, Idaho, where Roger lived his entire life.

Wheels were his thing; he got his first motorcycle at 10 years old. Roger and his dad rode together and that started his passion, the smell of hot steel and burning rubber (wind therapy).

He married Paula Bergeman on December 27, 1967. Two awesome daughters, Rhonda started the family, then Lisa joined a few years later. He finally got his son when Rhonda married Gordon Johnson. Two granddaughters Hali and Tawnie joined, followed by grandkids. Finally, he has little boys! He was well-versed in girls, Raleigh, Christopher, Ronni, Kai, and Tajia added to the family.

Roger worked 38 years at Basic American Foods. He started out sweeping floors, worked his way up to industrial instrumentation mechanic.

He loved motorcycles, camping, and fishing.

He was a great Dad and Grandpa. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the kids.

He is loved and will be missed greatly. The reunion in heaven will be a great party. As for those left here, a celebration of life will be held this summer as Roger requested.

After his passing, Roger sent a beautiful blanket of snow to cover his steps to start his new journey.
