Rojelio Gonzales Mavis June 8, 1942- October 8, 2024.
Rojelio was born to his loving parents, Ramon Sr., and Josephina Mavis, on June 8th, 1942, in Tempe, AZ. He was the 5th born out of 10 siblings.
Rojelio worked at Morrison Products for many years until his retirement at the age of 62 in 2004.
Rojelio was a loving, caring, humble, and gentle man with the patience of a saint. Rojelio was also a passionate gardener that was proud of his beautiful yard, where he spent much of his days. Rojelio was also a handyman who loved to fix things that didn’t need fixing.
Rojelio met his wife Mary Minnie on a double-blind date. They married on October 26th, 1961, and made Guadalupe, AZ their hometown. They went onto have 3 children. Rogelio is survived by his daughter Sylvia (Sheva) her husband Alex, Son Roy Jr. Wife Patricia, son Andrew, and 5 grandchildren, and 9 greatgrandchildren, 1 brother 3 sisters 2 brothers in law and a numerous number of nieces, nephews, and family members. And not to mention, friends who became family.
Rojelio is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Mavis, his parents, 1 sister, 5 brothers, and 1 grandson.
Services will be held, Thursday, October 17 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 5545 E. San Angelo Guadalupe, AZ Rosary at 8:30am Funeral Mass at 9:00am to 10:00am Burial at Resthaven Mortuary 4310 E. Southern Phoenix, AZ 85042
