In Loving Memory of Roland Duane Predum
Roland Duane Predum, who went by the name Ron, was born on October 21, 1935, and passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was a longtime resident of Plainwell, Michigan.
A Life Well Lived
Ron had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and his love for nature was evident in the ways he spent his time. He found happiness in fishing, hunting, camping, and bowling, activities that brought him joy. As an enthusiastic sports fan, Ron enjoyed following various teams (especially the Detroit Tigers) and Plainwell High School sporting events. He especially cherished the moments spent observing deer and other wildlife on his property, taking in the beauty that surrounded him.
Committed to his profession as a recycling supervisor, Ron dedicated 34 years of service to Brown Company, James River. His hard work and loyalty were hallmarks of his career and reflected his dependable character at work.
Family and Legacy
Ron was preceded in death by Marilyn (Mauchumer) Predum, his beloved wife of 53 years, and his daughter, Rhonda (Predum) Napp. His son, Randall Predum, survives him.
Ron will be laid to rest on Tuesday, October 28, at 2:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. A graveside service for family members will be held to honor his life and memory.
