Ronald Bruce Hommertzheim, 67, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1957 in Wichita to Henry John and Patricia Ann (Jacobs) Hommertzheim. Ron married Jama (Lippoldt) Hommertzheim on August 18, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for 34 years.
Ron graduated from Wichita East High School in 1975. He worked as a Communications Technician for AT&T. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was an Elder and served as President for the local Union for Communications. He enjoyed golfing, Legos, hot sauce, gardening, his dogs, and being a comedian.
He is survived by his wife, Jama; son, Cody (K'Dee) Hommertzheim of Pratt; daughter, Cari (Michael) Hommertzheim Carey of Overland Park; brother, John (Sue) Hommertzheim of Gallatin, Missouri; and granddaughter, Mia Hommertzheim.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday, October 7, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Natrona with Pastor Michael Schotte presiding. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Natrona.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Cancer Research in care of Larrison Mortuary.
