Ron J. Krieger

Ronald (Ron) Joseph Krieger was born to John and Florence (Schneider) Krieger on June 9, 1955, in Atkinson, Nebraska. He passed away at age 69 on March 2, 2025, at Rock County Hospital from acute myeloid leukemia after a long, hard-fought battle.
Ron was the youngest of eight siblings. He graduated from Atkinson High School in 1973. Ron was married to Lorain (Hugg) Krieger in Bassett on February 22, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Lorain; his daughter, Kandi (Rob) Powelson of Omaha, NE; stepchildren Mandi (Jeremy) Kettelson of Albion, NE, Brandon (Mykel) Bickham of Janesville, WI, and Stacey (J.D.) Alberts of Long Pine, NE; and his ten grandchildren: Peyton, Preston, Parker, Logan, Lauren, Barrett, Reegin, Ren, Thomas, and George.
Ron is also survived by his siblings: John Krieger and special friend Vickie Steskal of Spencer, NE; Irene Hunt of Grand Island, NE; Don (Sandy) Krieger of Bassett, NE; Sharon (Dan) Atkinson of Bassett, NE; sisters-in-law Anita Krieger of Bassett, NE, and Maxine Krieger of Atkinson, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence; his brothers Harold, Fritz, and LaVern (Verny); and his brother-in-law Merlin Hunt.
The family requests everyone wear casual attire to the celebration of life services.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Rock County Ambulance Association or to the family for later designation.
