Ronald "Ron" Darryl Lusby Sr., 77, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away August 10, 2025. He was born September 20, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Donald Lusby and Wanda Turner Lusby.
Ron served proudly in the Army as an Airborne Ranger during the Vietnam war and was the recipient of a Bronze Star Medal; Combat Air Medal and Vietnam Commendation medal for Meritorious Service.
Ron was a true entrepreneur by heart; he owned and operated multiple businesses throughout his life; including Ron Lusby Emergency Services in Pine Bluff which provided ambulances, rescue and recovery; arial and underwater rescue; limousine and bus service; towing and recovery; full service station and automotive repair shop; a restaurant and convenience store; property management and the only hot air balloons in Pine Bluff for advertising and charity events. He was a man that did it all!
He also served on the Pine Bluff Swat Team as a medic and medical advisor and was a technical instructor for Pines Vocational and Technical School in Pine Bluff.
In his free time, Ron loved drag racing and spending time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Wanda Lusby; son Ronald Darryl Lusby Jr.; sister Loretta Owens; and father-in-law Roger Hackney.
Survivors include his loving spouse, Regina Lusby; daughters Sunnie Jester; Ryann Webb (Caleb) Sons Ralston Lusby; Remington Lusby; grandchildren Bentley, Addi Mae and Hutch Jester; brother Donnie Lusby (Wendy); brother-in-law Greg Hackney (Julie) mother-in-law Shirley Hackney; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday; August 13 at Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
A celebration of Ron's life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14th at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Inman officiating. Burial will take place after the service, 2:00 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
The family will be at 102 Windsor Place, Hot Springs for those who wish to visit and share condolences.
Pallbearers include Ralston Lusby; Remington Lusby; Bentley Jester; Hutch Jester; Caleb Webb; Austen Roberts; Chandler Overton; Clay Shatley and Nick Newton.
