Rona Harriet Sher

Sher, Rona Harriet (Dalkin) Age 82, died peacefully on December 10, 2013, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Rona was known for her sense of humor and positive attitude about how she faced challenges, especially in her final years. Preceded in death by her parents of Sara and Harry Dalkin and her husband of 36 years, Alvin Irving Sher. Survived by daughters Julie Ann Sher in Walnut Creek, CA, and Wendy Sue Olson (husband Jeffrey Olson) in Minnetrista, MN; son Daniel Harris Sher in Minnetonka, MN; and grandchildren - Albie Micha Sher, Riley Joseph Noon, Sara Pearl and Anna Sue Olson. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Berdie, brother-in-law, Jerry Sher, and special cousins Gae Pearl and Connie Goldman. Rona was always active and worked up to age of 79. She never lost her youthful spirit and always found the wonderment in the world around her. She continued to appreciate the little things that life has to offer like flowers and laughter. She felt blessed to have so many wonderful close friends in her life. Rona was a loving and a supportive wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, cousin, aunt, and friend. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at Methodist Hospital and the hospice who helped take care of her. Memorial Service will be held: 3 PM, FRIDAY, December 13, at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. So., Mpls., MN. A reception will be held at Temple Israel immediately following the memorial service.
