Ronald Blanchette of Plainville, husband of Leslie (Christensen) Blanchette, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 69. A devoted husband and father, Ron lived a life rooted in hard work and dedication, simplicity, and love.

Born on June 5, 1956, he was one of three children to the late Gene Patrick and Claire (Ouellette) Blanchette. Ron was a proud graduate of Plainville High School, and, at the age of 18, he began what would become a remarkable 45-year career with Tilcon where he was respected for his strong work ethic and reliability. He retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and humble pride.

Ron cherished the simple joys in life: a well-tended lawn and garden, a crisp fall Sunday with the Dallas Cowboys on TV, and classic country music playing in the background. His yard was his sanctuary, a place of quiet beauty and order that reflected his meticulous nature and appreciation for the little things.

For the past 24 years, Ron shared his life with his beloved wife, Leslie. Together, they enjoyed long conversations, good music, and the loving company of their two feline companions, Sheldon and Leonard. Their home was always filled with warmth, laughter and a perfect lawn. Ron was the kind of man who made friends wherever he went. His easygoing nature, genuine smile, and willingness to lend a hand earned him many lasting friendships throughout the years. He was a good neighbor and a loyal friend, who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Leslie, he leaves his daughter, Nicole LeGere and her husband Joe; his brother Bobby Blanchette; his brothers-in-law, Jeff Jones and Joe Ettorre and his wife Debbie; his sister-in-law Claudia Person and her husband Joe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Sue Jones.

In lieu of flowers, Ron may be remembered with contributions to the American Lung Association at http://www.lung.org

Honoring Ron's wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to the Blanchette family for their trust. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit http://www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com

Leslie, I´m sorry it has taken me so long to write this. Signing Ron´s guestbook is an excellent example of me putting things off multiple times as I have done. I can´t count the times we planned the trip, but never made it. I miss Ron´s phone calls dearly, and always will. I find myself expecting to see Ron´s phone # almost every time my phone rings.

Leslie, I know words can´t express just how much you miss Ron, but never forget our Lord´s promise, that one day you will be back with him side by side.....you both had tons of love for each other and I could hear that in our conversations. I know you have many family/friends for religious support, but if there is ever anything I can do for you please never hesitate to call on me.

Ron, my brother-in-law, you are in peace now...l love you.

Hi uncle Ronnie. It´s been awhile since we spoke, and now that you are gone it makes me think, why. Why has it been so long. We are family, family sticks together. I´m sorry for the time that we lost. You are in a better place, you and my mom together. Take care of each other. Love you

Lived across from you on Crown St from when we were in single digits. Remember Wiffle ball and chowing on those grapes in your back yard and summer visits from your Maine cousins-as they say, "those were the days." Heaven bless you.

I miss you, uncle Ronnie. I know we wanted nothing more than to make it back up to Connecticut in time to honor the memory of your sister, Sue. I just hope you both are celebrating, laughing, and enjoying your new heavenly lives together. Love you, always.

My condolences to Ron´s family. Ron and I were friends and part of a group of fast car enthusiasts after high school. Ron had a rare 1969 Rambler Scrambler that he was super proud of. We (Ron, Jim, Tony and I) used to cruise the Berlin turnpike on weekends challenging anyone up for a quick head to head race between the many stop lights. Although we eventually took different paths, I have great memories of those times with Ron.
