Ronald W. Blondin
Bay City, Michigan
Ronald William Blondin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, in his hometown of Bay City, Michigan. Born on April 6, 1954, to Clifford (Dick) and Martha Blondin, Ron lived a full life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for the outdoors, and a remarkable ability to fix just about anything.
Ron (lovingly known as "Pou" to his closest friends and family) met his beloved wife, Pam (Wachowski) Blondin on Christmas Day 1970 in Bay City. They were married on May 18, 1974 and together they raised a family. They had two children, Joshua (Kelly) Blondin and Gwendolyn (Steven) Banaszak, and two grandchildren, Kayla and Grant Blondin.
A dedicated worker, Ron spent many years at Essroc Cement Company running a front loader. He could always be counted on; Ron's work ethic extended beyond his job. He built his garage from the ground up, creating a space where he could tinker and take on many projects to keep the household in working order. Those who knew Ron will remember him as someone who was always willing to make a situation better, whether it was through his knack for fixing things or by his quick wit and infectious laughter. He loved creating new memories with his loved ones, especially if it involved being outdoors; camping, fishing, backyard barbeques, or even just enjoying a beer and good conversation on his deck. In his younger days, Ron loved to ride his motorcycle, where he found freedom and joy. Ron was also an avid lover of animals and caring for his beloved dogs exemplified his compassionate spirit.
Ron's brother, Richard, and sister, Patricia, along with his brothers-in-law Ray, Randy, Roger, and sisters-in-law Sue, Georgine, Becky, Sherry, Colleen, and his many nieces and nephews, will fondly remember the countless family gatherings that Ron was central to. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, his brother Gerald, and his brother-in-law Russ.
Ron approached life with a passion that inspired everyone around him. He was the epitome of someone who knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, and his legacy is one of love, laughter, and hard work.
A celebration of life will be on Wednesday May 21, 2025 from 2pm till 8pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel. At 6pm there will be a time your sharing memories of Ron.

Deep hearted Pou. Don't try to constrain the heart, don't try to control the heart.
Just let it be.
Just let it be.
Peace to my dear brother, and peace to my dear family.
