Ronald F. Borella Jr., affectionately known to all as "Beanie," passed away peacefully in his hometown of Joliet on February 14, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 2, 1950, in Joliet, Illinois.
Survived by his siblings, Jerry (Joyce) Borella, Deb (Ray) Underhill, Kim (Tyrone-deceased) Borella Stovall, Pam (John) Underhill, Rick (Kathy) Borella, Janice (Mario) Alvarado, and Cheryl (Dan-deceased) McGuire. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. As well as his long-time care giver, Deneen Ford.
Beanie's educational journey began at Channahon Grade School and continued through Minooka High School. He furthered his education at Joliet Junior College. Beanie worked at the Foodliner in Channahon, Musser Sports, Jim Graham Olds, Empress, and Darcy Motors. His love for his dog companions was well-known, and he took great joy in their company. Beanie's love for sports was a defining aspect of his life. He played and coached baseball, channeling his spirited nature into every game. An AVID Atlanta Braves fan throughout his life. His love for sports extended to the golf course, where he not only played but also took on the role of secretary for all the leagues he participated in. Beanie's personality was a blend of spirited energy, a friendly demeanor, and a sense of humor.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary's St., Minooka, IL 60447 on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 am. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until time of mass. As it was Ronald's wishes request cremation rites have been accorded.
