Ronald Buxton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stephen C. Gregory and Son Cremation Service on Dec. 12, 2025.
Ronald E. Buxton, 92, died peacefully at Mansfield Place in Essex, Vermont on December 10, 2025. A native Vermonter who lived a full and wonderful life. He was born in Montpelier, VT. As a toddler the family moved to the Old Mill House in Jericho where he was raised with his siblings while his Father ran the Old Mill for Bailey's Feeds Co.
He went on to serve in the Air Force during the Korean War years and settled back down in Jericho with his wife, Milly, of 69 years, from Bronx, NYC. He was an active resident of Jericho helping with the Water Board, the American Legion and other local town affairs. He marched in the Jeri-Hill Memorial Parade and flagged the cemeteries for over 60 years.
He worked at IBM for 30 years. When retired he worked as a well-loved school bus driver for MMU for 17 years. As a young boy growing up, he helped on the Harold Whitcomb farm on Rte. 15 in Essex.
He is survived by his wife Milly, their son Ken Buxton from Falmouth MA and Lori Buxton-Myrick, in Essex VT. There are five Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. And his Sister Carlynn Farr of Essex, VT.
In late 2020 he and his wife Milly moved to the Mansfield Place Assisted Living Facility where they continued to be very active and surrounded by many new friends. The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the entire staff at Mansfield Place as well as the incredible care from Bayada Hospice Care.
Ron's family will celebrate his life with family and friends at the Whitcomb Barn on Rte. 15 in Essex. A date to be determined in the coming months. It will be posted here at www.gregorycremation.com. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Ronald, please visit our Tree Store.

Millie and family. I saw you both last year at elaine whites funeral. I hadnt seen you two for years. I was surprised at how much that touched me. To see people that were really a part of my childhood. I dont know where you live ,so a card in the mail wont do. Peace be with you in the coming christmas season, let your happy memories carry you through the grieving process. In loving memory of a mighty fine man ,Ron. Fondly Linda Cox. (Senn)
