Mr. Ronald Lawson Coy, age 71, of McDonough, GA passed away July 17, 2010. Mr. Coy was born in Stewart Town, Jamaica the son of the late Leslie Coy and Ruth McDonald.. He was self employed, owning his own clothing store most of his working career. Mr. Coy was the loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was known to his family as Popsy, a hero, fighter, manager, and a very orderly gentleman who also enjoyed cooking and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 plus years, Andrea Coy of McDonough; children, Marlene King (Glen) of McDonough, Jacqueline Coy of McDonough, Ronald Coy (Nadine) of Columbia, MD, Howard Coy (Margaret) of Jacksonville, FL and Donna Clarke (Michael) of Irving, TX; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters, Dr. Cecilin Chisholm of Silver Spring, MD, Enid Bailey of Decatur, GA and Geraldine Clouden of Miami, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Coy will be Saturday, July 24, 2010 – 4:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Dr. Cecilin Chisholm officiating.
